We have had a quick look at the DVDs that you have provided and we think that you have done a fantastic job. The picture quality is excellent.
We noticed that one of the movies is not in the correct order (our fault, not yours) and there were one or two that I thought had okay sound that were silent on the DVD.
This may be because it has been so long since we looked at them that we have forgotten how many had bad sound.
I need to check this and then I may ask you to make some new DVDs with the one movie in the correct place and, possibly, sound added to one or two of them.
If we decide to do this I will let you know and will ask for a quotation. We also want to put some VHS videos onto DVD so I will also contact you about this in due course.

Many, many thanks for all your hard work in converting all the cine films and videos onto DVD - what a fantastic job!
I obviously haven't watched them all but sat down and watched some of the cine to DVD and one or two of the videos to DVD this morning and what amazing memories it brought back - some of the cine film was nearly 50 years old and as you said it was in excellent condition and transferred remarkably well.
As you know, I have already passed on your details to a friend of mine who similarly has cine and videos to transfer and I shall definitely be telling her (and showing her) what a great job you have done for us.
I shall be giving my brother a set of the cine to DVD and a set each to our sons of the video to DVD for Christmas and am sure they will be as impressed as we were. I have some more videos of me when I was going through the phase of appearing on TV quiz shows so will be sending them to you in the not too distant future!

Just a quick note to mention that out of 23 people at my Mother's 80th Birthday party last
Saturday, there was not a dry eye in the house when the DVDs were show.
I forgot how long a period of time it covered and how many people were no longer with us. It was over 4 decades!

I have just finished watching the DVDs and thought it would be churlish of me to not email you and thank you for your work.
They triggered some marvellous memories - and a few dewy eyes!
There was one coincidence that really stood out. My brother took a few minutes of a wedding back in about 1963 and managed to capture footage of a gentleman who is now a resident in the same care home where my mother stays!
On the down side I think I may have sold/thrown away a load of films!! There were films in the boxes marked "Donald Duck", "Laurel and Hardy" etc so I put them in an auction along with the broken projector. To see the same films on one of the spliced 200/300 foot reels makes me wonder if the films in the boxes were home made ones!
Ah well, that's life and we should be grateful for small mercies! I am still looking forward to showing the DVD's around the family.

They want me to make 6 copies for them to give to each of their children and a couple of cousins. What would you charge me for that?

Meeting Bruce on a personal basis where I was able to discuss what I wanted and receive good advice regarding the layout of both the cine films and the stills, was invaluable. To also choose the musical accompaniment was a bonus, especially as the music matched the pace of the material perfectly.
Watching the DVD with my daughters for the very first time, brought back many happy memories for me, and I was able to share these with them.

Many thanks for my completed DVD, which is super, and I think the choice of music for the soundtrack was most appropriate. I see that the second reel I sent you was not what I intended, but since the boxes are identical, I must have chosen the wrong one! However, in some respects it's better as they are in sequence, and I'd totally forgotten that I'd spliced that monochrome section on the reel, it was one of my first bits of filming.
I will send you a couple more, shortly, probably next month. My wife and I are getting real pleasure watching our old films again.

Just had chance to view the DVDs and I am very pleased with the results. I had forgotten what was actually in those films because it is so long since I have viewed them!
Thanks very much for your efforts. I have yet to watch the 1969 Rome film which I am sure will be as good as the others. I had forgotten how corny the start of the 1961 film was, at it was both our first overseas caravan trip and only about the second time father had used the camera!
However I shall certainly be sending you some more to transfer!

I have just watched the DVD of my wedding, and am so thrilled. It was so marvellous to see people who have long gone, including my own parents. It will be lovely for my grandchildren to see the great-grandparents they never knew. It brought back so many memories.
